Hello everybody!
In todays update I will tell you something about creatures living in my beloved city – Warsaw.
Warsaw is the capital city of Poland – central european country. Warsaw is placed in low-lying area and it stands by the Vistula river (Wisła). Humid continental climate causes cold, cloudy winters, hot summers and rainy springs/autumns.
1. Amphibians
The best place for watching amphibians is Warsaw Citadel. Between spring and summer in dirty pond with fountain happens a miracle. Thousands of tadpoles are chatching out of frogs and newts eggs. For the next few days they are changing from worm-looking creatures to adult-looking spicies.
2. Reptiles
Two months ago was first time when I saw a lizard near Warsaw. It was in Kampinoski National Park. Lizard seemed to be a Sand Lizard. At Warsaw suburbs you can meet not only Sand Lizards – in Kampinoski National Park there are also Slowworms or Grass Snakes.
