DANGER! THIS UPDATE IS RADIOACTIVE!

Everyone have heard about Chernobyl. About one of the biggest nuclear catastrophes in the world.
We know words like Exclusion Zone, Fourth Reactor or Pripyat but the most important is the Red Forest.
The Red Forest is a huge area (10 square kilometres) in the Exclusion Zone. Its name comes from colour of pine trees which died after nuclear diseaster. Now, 31 years after reactor explosion it would be a lie to tell that Red Forest is dead that nothing lives in it.
Every true-fan of Jurrasic Park knows these words: "Life will always find a way". This quotation perfectly describes life in the Red Forest. When there was no one extinct in this area animals returned. Not only small rodents or birds – wild boars, brown bears or Przewalski's horses came back to their abandoned home. Animals felt influence of radiation. Scientists working in the Exclusion Zone found out that guts of cought rodents were smaller than they should be. They started feeding them with special food and it worked. Animals guts were going back to ordinary shape.
Now, the Exclusion Zone is very popular among urban explorers. They can feel safe thanks to giant Arch which cover old, cracked sarcophagus. But there is one thing that no one can protect them – cute, radioactive... PUPPIES!

  1. I remember the Chernobyl explosion very well - we learned about it two days after it happened, when the radioactive cloud has already been blown in various directions and it was too late for any effective prevention strategies. It's hard to believe that there is anything alive in that zone.
