In one of BBC's we learn something about arctic squirrels which live in frozen tundra. These squirrels are asleep for 8 months – it means they spend two thirds of the year sleeping. During hibernation their hearts beat extremely slowly so that they won't use much energy. After eight months of sleep male squirrels need to fight back their territory. Camera captured a fight between two squirrels. It should look frightening – two animals fighting in slow motion, but it ended up as chase of two little, fluffy squirrels. From the video we can also learn that these animals have only half of a day to breed – female squirrels are fertile for only 12 hours!
